OBSERVE IN A CLASSROOM
After attending the Open House, contact the Admissions Coordinator to schedule a 30 minute classroom observation (without your child).
PROSPECTIVE PARENT MEETING
The Admissions Coordinator will call to schedule a 30 minute meeting with a member of the Administrative team. Whenever possible, we strongly suggest both parents attend the interview (without their child).
WAIT-LIST
Initial application may be made up to three years in advance of the desired enrollment date. Application forms are available online. Applicants are placed on a waiting list on a first come first served basis. Families currently enrolled in Mission Montessori on the Desert (private school) MUST go through the Elementary enrollment process; In compliance with the ARS 15-184 http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ars/15/00184.htm. Mission Montessori on the Desert (private school) students are NOT given enrollment preference.
Families must notify the school of their desire to remain on the waitlist by January 1st of each year. However, the applicant’s original waiting list date will determine their position on the following year’s waiting list. Failure to confirm desire to remain on the waiting list will result in removal from the waiting list.
ENROLLMENT
Following the re-enrollment of current students, new students will be enrolled for available spaces from the waitlist on a first come first serve basis. Siblings of current Elementary/Adolescent students are given priority. When a position is offered, the position must be secured within 3 business days.
PLACEMENT
True to the Montessori philosophy, classes are filled with an emphasis on balancing gender and ages. We strongly believe in the strength and integrity of all Mission Montessori classrooms. It is the policy of Mission Montessori Academy not to accept parent requests for specific classroom placements. Placement decisions are made by the educational team.
