The student enrollment process consists of:
INQUIRY
If you haven't already, please read the About Us section and look through our Programs to learn more about the Montessori philosophy. Our goal is to create joyful, independent children that take their excitement of learning home with them. To be truly effective, Montessori education should also be practiced in the home as well as at school.
TOUR
Call the main office to schedule a tour of the school. Come see first hand how the school works and get answers to all of your questions. You are welcome to sit in on a classroom and observe. The tempo of a Montessori classroom is very unlike a traditional classroom setting.
APPLICATION
For new students, before turning in an application, it is mandatory that your child spend at least one hour in a classroom working with other children, allowing our teachers the opportunity to assess skills, behavior and learning style- all important elements in making a good school and/or classroom match.
STEP ONE:
The application form is a statement of intent for your child to return to or attend Mission Montessori
- Please print out the three-page application form
- Complete the application form
- Attach a copy of child’s birth certificate (if new student applying)
- Return application (3 pgs.)and birth certificate (if new student) to a school office
- Applications may be dropped off at any of our school offices between 7:30AM and 4:00PM week days.
STEP TWO:
The ten-page enrollment forms will be available on-line in February. Registration dates will be posted on the school calendar.

- Complete applications and turn in with all requested documents.
- Enrollment for the following school year, will be accepted in this order:
- Current enrollees
- Siblings
- New enrollees
ACCEPTANCE
New charter openings during Open Enrollment will be filled by lottery. Children who are not placed during this time will be put on a waiting list. All classrooms are filled and balanced according to age levels and gender. Students are accepted without regard to ethnicity, national origin, creed, or disability.
WAIT LIST
In the event that your child is placed on the waiting list, you will be notified by phone when a space becomes available. Waiting lists do not carry over from school year to school year.
PLACEMENT
Classes are filled with an emphasis on balancing gender and ages within a room. Placements are determined by the educational team remaining true to Montessori philosophy.
