Mission Montessori Academy is announcing the Kindergarten Enrollment-Lottery Day

• Kindergarten Enrollment Packets will be available online Friday, February 10, 2012 
• Kindergarten Enrollment and Lottery Day: Thursday, February 16, 2012- all enrollment pages and checks (or “first payment” checks) are due at the same time in order to be entered in the lottery.
• Kindergarten Enrollment Packets are accepted on or after Lottery Day no earlier, at which time you will be given a lottery ticket. 
• Notifications of acceptance will be mailed Tuesday, February 21,2010

INQUIRY

If you haven't already, please read the About Us section and look through our Programs to learn more about the Montessori philosophy. Our goal is to create joyful, independent children that take their excitement of learning home with them. To be truly effective, Montessori education should also be practiced in the home as well as at school.

TOUR

Call the main office to schedule a tour of the school. Come see first hand how the school works and get answers to all of your questions. You are welcome to sit in on a classroom and observe. The tempo of a Montessori classroom is very unlike a traditional classroom setting.

APPLICATION

After going on the tour please print out the application form and, once completed, turn it in to our main office along with a non-refundable $35 registration fee.

STEP ONE:
The application form is a statement of intent for your child to return to or attend Mission Montessori

• Please print out the three-page application form
• Complete the application form
• Attach a copy of child’s birth certificate (if new student applying)
• Return application (3 pgs.)and birth certificate (if new student) to a school office
• Applications may be dropped off at any of our school offices between 7:30AM and 4:00PM week days.

STEP TWO:
The enrollment forms will be available on-line. Registration dates will be posted on the school calendar.

ACCEPTANCE

To qualify as an accepted applicant, the match between the family’s educational goals for their child and the Montessori philosophy is highly important. Qualified applicants are then selected for available spaces with a focus on maintaining balance of gender and ages in a classroom. When a position is offered to your child you must secure it with an annual enrollment fee of $250 per family and the first month's tuition or forfeit the position.

WAIT LIST

If a space is not available, qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list. You will be notified by phone when a space becomes available. When a position is offered to your child you must secure the position with a non-refundable enrollment fee or forfeit the position.

PLACEMENT

Classes are filled with an emphasis on balancing gender and ages within a room. Placements are determined by the educational team remaining true to Montessori philosophy.
