Who qualifies for this credit?
Anyone who makes a cash contribution to a public school for the support of extra curricular activities or character Ed. programs. This includes parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends and business associates.
What is the maximum dollar amount of the credit?
The credit is equal to the amount contributed – for single taxpayers or heads of household, the credit cannot exceed $200. For married taxpayers that file a joint return, the credit cannot exceed $400.
What can the contribution be used for?
Extra curricular activities include important scholastic elements such as music, art, technology, science, foreign languages and field trips.
When can I make a tax credit contribution?
As a credit towards your 2008 taxes, right now through December 31, 2008.

Print out the tax credit form (available at above left), fill out the form, attach your check and turn in to the Mission Montessori school office.

Who qualifies for this credit?
Anyone in Arizona who makes a cash contribution to a tuition organization that provides scholarships or grants to qualified schools. This includes parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, friends and business associates.
Is Mission Montessori on the Desert a qualified school?
Yes.
What is a tuition organization?
A school tuition organization is one that is tax exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, allocates at least 90% of it's annual revenue to scholarships and grants, and makes makes it's scholarships/grants available to students of more than one qualified school.
Who is Mission Montessori's tuition organization?
Mission Montessori use Montessori Scholarship Organization (MSO). MSO only retains 5% of the contributions (10% is allowed by the state) in order to maximize the scholarship funds available to our school.
How are scholarships decided?
A student must apply directly to the tuition organization, and the tuition organization decides to award the student a scholarship.
