Welcome to Mission Montessori
I am Lalit Ecka, Dr.PH., passionate about global peace and stewardship of our blue planet with an interdisciplinary background in Social & Behavioral Sciences, Health, and Education. I have a Doctorate in Public Health [Health Policy and Administration] with an emphasis on the aging population. My Masters in Public Health [Community Health Sciences] has a focus in Mental Health.
Besides, my other academic backgrounds are in Bachelors of Commerce, Masters in Sociology, and Masters in Health Professions Education. In addition, I have Professional Certification in Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy and Montessori Education [Primary and Secondary]. I have also audited the Elementary Montessori Educational Training program.
Most of my professional career has been as a Social Activist; Counselor, Psychotherapist, and Trainer in the Mental Health field; Parent, Board of Trustee member, Educator, Trainer, Evaluator, and Administrator in the Montessori World.
I have served in leadership positions in premier national and international faith based social action, health, and educational institutions. Furthermore, I’ve been involved with the Montessori Model United Nations since it’s inception in 2006 and the launch of the first MMUN conference in NYC 2007, commemorating the 100th year anniversary of the first Montessori school in Italy.
I am grateful and excited to be an integral part of Mission’s journey in educating individuals for the 21st century as peace makers and responsible stewards where they learn life skills to excel through strong interpersonal skills.
