My name is Ms. Alicia (Ms. Kimbro). I attended Arizona State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2005. I am a “Highly Qualified” Arizona state teacher with an SEI (Structured English Instruction)
endorsement. I recently earned my Master’s in Social Work this past May.
My Montessori journey began when I was a child. I attended Nightingale Montessori in Springfield, Ohio. I attended Nightingale from the age of 5 until I went to high school. While I was working on my undergraduate degree I became an assistant. I was an assistant in both primary and lower elementary classrooms for 7 years before I came to Mission Montessori. I was Montessori certified in 2008 and began working here in August, 2009. This will be my 7th year here at Mission. It has been an amazing time and I am looking forward to another wonderful year.
In my free time, I also work at a shelter for abused and neglected children in Mesa. I enjoy traveling and do so as often as possible. I love to read and shoe shopping. I have no children of my own so I treat my students as such. I want you all to feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns throughout the year. The children’s well-being is always my utmost priority. It is important to me that we work together to make the school year happy and successful for each child.
